02 · Non-guaranteed items
Bonuses, fulfilment ratios, dividends, fund performance, non-guaranteed cash values and other non-guaranteed items may be reviewed or changed by insurers; interest rates, exchange rates, fees and underwriting requirements may change at any time. Illustrations and past performance are neither guarantees nor forecasts.
03 · Long-term commitment and surrender
Insurance is usually a long-term commitment. Early surrender can be costly and surrender value may be less than total premiums paid; policy loans, withdrawals and charges can reduce cash value or cause a policy to lapse. Premium financing carries interest-rate and currency risk, and banks may call for additional collateral.
04 · No sales, no referrals
This site sells no insurance or financial product, accepts no applications and quotes no individual product. Applications, quotations and policy servicing should be sought from Hong Kong insurers or licensed insurance intermediaries, verified through the Insurance Authority's register of licensed intermediaries.
05 · Mainland and cross-border readers
Mainland Chinese residents must sign Hong Kong policies in person in Hong Kong and complete the Important Facts Statement for Mainland policyholders. Cross-border funds, foreign-exchange, tax and reporting obligations depend on personal circumstances; obtain independent advice in your own jurisdiction. This site carries on no insurance sales or promotion in Mainland China.
06 · Regulatory review
Content has not been reviewed, approved or endorsed by the Insurance Authority (IA), the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) or the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC). Guidelines and circulars should be read in their current official versions.

09 · Rule versions and figures
The Scheme Rules have been amended several times since March 2024 (16 Oct 2024, 1 Mar 2025, 17 Sep 2025, 1 Mar 2026 among others). Each rule here carries its effective date and scope, but the current text on the InvestHK and Immigration Department websites prevails. Application statistics are taken from official press releases with their as-at dates.
10 · Mainland and cross-border readers
Mainland residents must first hold permanent residence in a foreign country to apply. Fund transfers, foreign-exchange, tax reporting and Common Reporting Standard obligations depend on personal circumstances; obtain advice in your own jurisdiction. This site carries on no sales or promotion in Mainland China and handles no applications.
